Bonus Message in Collectors Edition
Insert the Halo 2 Bonus DVD from the Collectors Edition. Remain idle at the main menu. The Marine will begin to threaten you very comically for not hitting play. He will go through three different routines before it repeats.
Unlock Foundation Multi-Player Map
Complete the game in single player mode using the heroic difficulty setting.
Easily Destroy Ghost
Looking at the Ghost from behind, to the left, behind the left wing is an alien fuel tank shaped like a circle. Shoot this three or four times with pistol or once with the shotgun to easily destroy the ghost.
Easily Destroy Tanks From Banshee
While in a banshee, it is easy to be blown up by wraiths or tanks. There are two simple ways to destroy them, or at least survive for longer. One way, is to sky-dive from directly above the tank or wraith out of the banshee and on top of the tank or wraith. Another way is to avoid their shots and fly straight into the bottom of them. This shuld tip the vehicle over, giving you time to fly away or kill the man outside. Hope this tip works for you, it always works for me.
Lock Dash
With a Plasma Sword, face an enemy, and when the ritacule turns red, press R for a felling Uppercut blow.
Ride on Wraith
In Co-op mode, get on top of a Wraith and kill the driver with melee and tell your friend to get in. You'll still be on it and your friend will drive you around. Just don't hit him and make him mad. Even though you get around alot faster and it's really cool, you are very vulnerable while on the front. But, if you want to protect the front of the Wraith, be my guest.
Multiplayer Tank Flip
You need a map with two tanks, such as Coagulation. Have the "flipper" drive a tank up the wall so it will flip over. Stand back and let the "flipped" (2nd person) get in the other tank and drive on top the upside-down one (as even as possible) and let the flipper walk up and flip the bottom tank. Happy Flying! If you are confused, think "tank sandwich". You can also do this by yourself but you'll be flipping an empty tank.
Tank Flip
On the level Delta Halo, go to the Ruins where the covenant pour out of the middle and destroy the shield generators. Drive the tank on top of them and wait. The shield will regenerate under you, and send you sky-high.
Computer
In the multiplayer level Zanzibar, after opening the gate, look closely at the computer (5x magnification recommended). It will say something funny (I won't spoil).
No Swimming
In Zanzibar, look on the beach to find a sign that says no swimming. Turn off the Xbox and set the clock and date numbers to 7 (all of them, 7, not 17 or 27). Now go back and look at the sign to see a bloody dog’s head.
Sputnik Skull
Go to Quarantine Zone on Legendary. Behind you on the is an Elite and a cave in the background. Go through the cave and look left of the stone bridge. Follow the narrow pipe to get to a skull. Hold X (It won't tell you to, but do it) to pick it up. The screen will flash and the word "sputnik" will appear. Go to any level of any difficulty level and you'll notice there is now lower gravity. The effect is turned off and you have to get it again after turning off your Xbox (even if you save).
Ultimate Flip
You must have downloaded the map Gemini from either the Multiplayer Map Pack or Xbox Live. In the Prophet Garden crouch jump onto the Prophet's head. You may jump on his head, but for now, get on his back and blast the ground in front of you with a Rocket Launcher. You will continuously do flips. OR: Get friend to melee you so you faint onto the platform. Try to center it as good as possible for best results.
Not Sid Was Here
Go to the level Coagulation and enter the pool cave (next to the three trees). Go to the top room and make a right. Don't fall, but instead look at the left wall. In tan writing, you’ll see a message: Not Sid Was Here. No one knows what it means.
Why am I here?
Go to Beaver Creek and go to the sniper rifling spot. Jump onto the mountain and move the rocks. Very unclearly, but faintly, you’ll see the message: Why am I here?
Floating Hat
In the beginning of Cairo Station at the bottom of the steps a marine's hat on a box. Melee the box and the hat will float.
Bomb Messages
In a game of assault, hold the bomb a long time and he'll throw it up in the air and catch it. When he does, you can see hidden messages.
Spectre Wheelie
In a Spectre, go at top speed and hold A. You'll need to be boosting
Fort Names
In Zanzibar, go to the forts on either side of the windmill and look on the structure walls facing the windmill to see the names of the forts.
News Post
Either in Outskirts (campaign) or Turf (map pack only) look on the walls to see posters with pictures of Master Chief on a Machinegun and a weird creature's face some people say is a grunt's face.
Self-destruct
Walk straight up to a wall and look at it the way your body is facing (straight ahead) and throw a plasma grenade. It will bounce off the wall and stick to you. You must be facing straight and not throw it from an angle or it will bounce to the side instead of straight back at you.
Berserker Tips
When facing a berserk brute, jump over it like it's a bull and shoot its back while it is looking the other way. Plasma grenades work well for this strategy. You can also jump to the side.
Shield Destroyer
Dual wield any weapon with a plasma pistol when fighting an enemy with shields, then charge the pistol and quickly take the enemy out with the other weapon.
