Super Performance
When you are about to play a rival team or a team near the top of your league, their manager should say something about your team. If they do, respond to the comment by saying that you will beat them or if you are top of the league and they have said you will not win say that you will definately win the title. Some of your players should now have PR next to their name. Click on it and if it says determined to prove rival manager wrong or another good thing you should play them, but if it says worried whether the team can win then do not play them. The players that have good PR's (player response should play good in the match).h

Joseph Yobo (let him play for Everton for one season).
Christiano Ronaldo.
Dejan Stankovic (buy him straight away or his team won't sell him).
Coloccini (gets better with experience).

Great Strikers
If you can, sign the following strikers, they are ace:

Thierry Henry (Arsenal).
Ruud van Nistelrooy (Manchester United).
Darren Huckerby (Norwich City).

Good Players
Try getting:

Vanden Borre: 1.7M release fee (I think), young, and plays on lot of positions.
Petter Vagaan Moen: Can buy him for about 800K, one of the best young midfielders in the game.
Daniel Fredheim Holm: Can obtain him for like 1.7M - he's a fast attacker with an excellent dribbling ability.
Trond Olsen: Cheap, I think he's got 20's in Pace and Acceleration, attacker that gets better every season.
De La Cuesta: Cadiz defender known from earlier managers, he's great althought his numbers aren't the best.
Cesare Natali: From Atalanta - not very cheap, can buy him for 6-7M, his numbers aren't too good either, but he's maybe the best defender in the game, and he also scores a lot with his head.
Fred: Brasilian striker, he scores like 2 goals per game!

If you want to get the best goalie for free, and just sign him a contract, search for "Dida" for "AC Milan". His contract is not protected, so you don't have to offer any money for him!

Subs
If you are losing in a match or not sure that you can keep the lead or want to take the lead then wait until the 65th minute and click on team tactics. Then bring of your most tired striker your most tired winger. Then bring on a fast winger and an experienced striker or one with good finishing and you should score a goal.
